Description:

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Technical Security Project Supervisor, working for an end user, who will be responsible for supervising security projects across various security disciplines at multiple sites across the UK. This will include asset refreshment and new installations of physical electronic integrated systems, as well as support on the infrastructure that keep the systems running, such as the critical servers, UPS systems and electrical wiring. You will also possess installation and technical knowledge and have a proven background in technical system design.


You will be working alongside your own field force technicians, key specialist contractors and systems engineers to deliver projects on time and to a system design. You will also provide a key interface between the Alarm Receiving Centre and specialist security advisors. You will report into a Senior Project Supervisor.


Key Accountabilities


·        Identifying and understanding the Scope of Work 

·        Determine and apply permits required to all technical aspects

·        Review and approve all documentation associated with the project 

·        Design and build security systems from concept to completion 

·        Ensure all the necessary work permits are in place 

·        Make certain the scope of work has been fulfilled and completed to the highest standard 

·        Liaise and communicate with key stakeholders

·        Ensure site visits are carried out weekly and project planner updated

·        Keep accurate work order trackers and databases for contract spend

·        Ensure all site health and safety practices are being carried out 


About you


We are looking for someone who has practical experience in a similar role within the security industry. You will need a clear understanding of integrated security systems and installation/commissioning practice and have proven security system engineer design experience. You should be able to produce technical drawings, ideally using CAD.


You will need basic project management skills, including management of risk for delivery of projects to scope, time, cost, quality, safety and security of supply, awareness of contract management within fixed price and target cost contracts and a good understanding of safety and environmental legislation, practices and policies.


Other Experience


·        High level of PC literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products and design software

·        Strong analytical and data entry skills, attention to detail is required

·        Able to pre-plan work to ensure works are being carried out in an efficient manner

·        A willingness to demonstrate improvement on current practices

·        SMSTS would be an advantage
