International Security Expo returns to London on 26-27 September 2023

ORGANISED BY the Nineteen Group, International Security Expo returns to London on 26-27 September 2023, backed by more Government agencies and industry partners than ever before and showcasing the widest range of solutions specifically designed to enhance the security and resilience postures of businesses, individuals and critical infrastructures alike.

In the face of ever-changing threats to global security, the International Security Expo – for which Security Matters serves as Media Partner – will welcome a high-quality vetted audience of over 10,000 active buyers to London’s Olympia, duly playing host to 350-plus exhibitors offering the latest security solutions devised by many of the world’s leading suppliers.

The market-leading security event is once again co-located with the International Cyber Expo, which itself brings an additional 5,000-plus visitors who enjoy free and open access across both of these shows.

International Security Expo features an International Delegations Programme attracting buyers from around the world who are travelling to London to witness and source the very latest security solutions. Many will join tours around the show floor and also take part in CONNECT+Live. The latter is orchestrated by ‘Hosted Meetings’ brand Newbridge. They identify the needs of global buyers who are in the discovery and purchase stages and then connect them with the most suitable exhibitors with whom to conduct face-to-face meetings  on site.

This year’s Premier Partners include Apstec Systems, Astrophysics, Audax Global Solutions, Gallagher Security, HS Security/ATG Access, Leidos, Linev Systems UK, Mitie, Pitagone Rapiscan Systems, Rohde and Schwarz, the Smiths Detection Group, Vaylia and Weytec.

International Security Expo is also supported by leading industry associations including ASIS UK, the ADS Group and The Emergency Planning Society.

Live demonstrations

Live demonstrations are being offered throughout both days of the show. The British Transport Police will be showcasing a wide range of including firearms. Also, the Perimeter Protection Zone – which is run in association with the Loss Prevention Certification Board, supported by the Perimeter Security Suppliers Association and sponsored by Barkers Fencing – is set to feature professional forced entry specialists ‘attacking’ a range of physical security products, among them security fencing and security door sets.

In parallel, Counter-EO UK, CBRN UK and the Drone Platform and Counter-Drone Group will be conducting a series of counter threat scenario-based demonstrations.

The Perimeter Protection Zone, International Risk and Resilience Zone and Drone and Counter UAV Zone will all help visitors to expand their knowledge in these key areas, with the dedicated SCEG Pavilion also highlighting a number of companies who deliver security in challenging and complex environments on land and at sea.

The Government Zone is back once again and bigger and better than ever in order to accommodate the overwhelming and continued support from UK Government. The larger space will provide a central meeting point for practitioners to network with representatives from key Government departments and agencies and find out about the latest projects and plans for the future.

Educational content

International Security Expo boasts an unparalleled line-up of educational content, which offers Continuing Professional Developmenty to all attendees courtesy of The Security Institute.

There are three main stages: the International Security Conference, the International Risk and Resilience Conference (run in partnership with Resilience First) and the Global Counter Terror and Serious and Organised Crime Summit (which is supported by Counter Terror Business).

The content in each is to be delivered by world-renowned experts from industry, Government and academia. To date, speakers have been confirmed from Microsoft, the FBI, the Home Office, the Office for Homeland Security, the National Counter-Terrorism Security Office, the National Crime Agency, the UK Civil Aviation Authority, NATO and the Cabinet Office.

Sessions will look at the implementation of new policies and techniques and provide practical takeaways about how these can be applied. Martyn’s Law, the Ukraine, aviation security and diversity are all key themes this year.

Unmissable event

Commenting on the International Security Expo 2023, event director Rachael Shattock explained: “International Security Expo 2023 will be an unmissable event for global security professionals. The content on Martyn’s Law alone will ensure visitors are in the best possible position to plan for and understand the legislation that’s being put forward. Nowhere else will they benefit from the depth of information delivered by so many of the individuals behind Martyn’s Law and it’s all being delivered free of charge.”

Admiral The Right Honourable Lord West of Spithead GCB DSC PC, the former security minister and current chair of the International Security Expo, added: “We are delighted to welcome back hundreds of the industry’s leading brands, who undoubtedly help to make the International Security Expo the best place in which to do business. The added value that arises from full access to the co-located International Cyber Expo allows visitors to view the full security picture.”
