IDIS WILL be showcasing “more surveillance and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-centred innovations than ever before” on Stand S1 H25 at this year’s Intersec, which runs in Dubai from 16-18 January, with tailored solutions for every form of end user application.
IDIS is already known for its offer of advanced, end-to-end video solutions. Now, that offer is being extended and complemented, with innovations in communications and AI as well as camera technology.
Among the highlights will be an extended range of IDIS’ multi-award-winning edge AI cameras, with nine new models including 2 MP domes and bullets and 5 MP turrets on display. The cameras feature the latest Lightmaster NIR technology, which enables superior night-time vision, and true Wide Dynamic Range featuring weatherproofing that’s suitable for the most challenging of external conditions.
The extended line-up allows a wider range of end users to target the of power of IDIS Deep Learning Analytics exactly it’s needed for faster, more accurate and dependable detection of objects, intrusion events, line cross episodes and instances of loitering detection.
The showcase model on Stand S1 H25 will be a powerful 4 MP AI PTZ that allows the choice of using pre-set events or manual selection for persons of interest, thereby delivering “seamless” AI-powered tracking over wide areas and long distances.
Other new cameras include 2 MP video intercoms that allow two communications via the cost-free IDIS Center VMS and the IDIS Mobile Plus app.
Retail sector solutions
Across the last 12 months, major retailers have taken advantage of IDIS’ profit-boosting retail solutions such as the plug-in All-in-One AI Box for Retail (DV-1304) integrated with ERP software.
At Intersec 2024, visitors will be able to experience the extended ‘Smart Video Solutions for Retail’ encompassing PTZs with built-in PoE extenders, edge AI bullets, domes and turrets, in addition to a new affordable range of Lite Series cameras along with an eight-channel encoder that supports third party cameras plus simple and affordable Point-of-Sale integration.
In addition, with the free IDIS Cloud Manager, security teams and store managers alike can easily add and configure all of their devices remotely.
Core focus
The central focus of the IDIS display at this year’s Intersec will be easier and more affordable, as well as centralised AI-powered monitoring. The IDIS Intelligent Wall Station renders the building and deploying dynamic video walls of any type and size both fast and convenient. Offering better value than alternative systems, such as matrix video wall products, it allows the easy control of anything from eight to 16 monitors.
For their part, operators can easily customise displays in real-time to show the most critical video streams, while they benefit from seamless compatibility with all IDIS products including a range of AI box plug-in devices as well as the integration (and subsequent control) of third party cameras.
IDIS will be launching its parking guidance cameras, themselves designed to support secure parking management and enhance the parking experience for drivers. Featuring three 5 MP lenses, a 360-degree omni-directional 12 MP lens and a built-in LED indicator, these cameras can simultaneously cover up to eight parking bays along with traffic corridors to facilitate the efficient direction of vehicles to assigned spaces. The cameras can be seamlessly integrated into parking payment systems using the IDIS Solution Suite VMS.
POC solutions
For the first time, visitors will be able to see push-to-talk over cellular (POC) solutions from IDIS Powertel, the South Korean radio communications company. Now integrated with ISS VMS, the latest LTE radios feature advanced functions including instant group calling, messaging, GPS location tracking and emergency notifications.
By integrating video with critical communications, end users can improve operational efficiencies through better team collaboration in order to deal with everyday security and safety tasks, while in parallel ensuring faster and more co-ordinated incident responses.
“This will be one of our most significant showcase events of recent years, ” explained Dennis Choi, general manager for IDIS in the Middle East and Africa, “with exciting product launches and enhanced existing solutions sitting side-by-side. Video technology is entering a new phase with the development of transformative AI and communications capabilities, as well as demand for complete end-to-end solutions from a single manufacturer. IDIS will be showcasing its advances in all of these fields that are designed to benefit our customers in new and exciting ways.”
