FACILITIES MANAGEMENT solutions provider Bidvest Noonan has announced plans to create a new specialist business unit focusing on the transport sector on the back of an extensive client portfolio in this arena coupled with decades of experience gained by supporting many of the UK's largest bus and rail operators.
The move is aimed at cementing Bidvest Noonan’s leadership position in the sector and establishing a strong platform for its continued growth and development. Colin Marshall, a transport sector expert who previously served on the leadership team for Cordant Services (more of which anon), has been named managing director for the new business unit.
Operating nationwide across the UK, Bidvest Noonan estimates that it currently supports over 1.5 billion journeys annually. The services it provides to clients in the transport sector include security, cleaning, shunting, refuelling and sanitising.
Commenting on the announcement, Colin Marshall informed Security Matters: “I’m delighted that we are continuing to invest in the transport sector and honoured to lead this part of the business in the role of managing director. We have built the expertise, resources and infrastructure we need to provide world-class value and support to our clients. With the development of our new transport sector business unit, we have everything in place that we need to continue growing and improving for the benefit of our clients.”
Charlotte Marshall, CEO of Bidvest Noonan in Great Britain, added: “Bidvest Noonan has an impressive portfolio of clients in the transport sector. Establishing a sector-dedicated business unit will enable us to improve our performance for them, innovate faster and accelerate our growth.”
Cordant Services rebrands
Earlier this year, the Bidvest Noonan Group identified Cordant Services as a highly compatible business, with both businesses operating in the same market segments, offering a similar range of services and taking client-centric approaches towards solution design and service delivery.
In May, Cordant Services joined with Bidvest Noonan, in turn creating a united business with market leadership positions in security, cleaning and support services across the UK and Ireland.
During the intervening six months, leadership and operations teams on both sides have come together to integrate Cordant Services into Bidvest Noonan. With that integration project now complete, the combined business moves forward under the Bidvest Noonan banner.
