AJAX SYSTEMS has held its second Special Event: an online presentation of new devices and software developments. This time, the company’s senior leadership team unveiled new additions to Ajax Systems’ outdoor detection systems line-up, a flagship keypad and new software, as well as online tools for those professionals who work with Ajax’s security systems on a daily basis.
End users and partners from over 120 countries were invited to attend the presentation. The broadcast was conducted in 14 languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Ukrainian, Russian, Turkish, Dutch, Arabic, Portuguese, Polish, Romanian and Greek.
DualCurtain Outdoor: Perimeter protection
To provide end users with fast and accurate early intrusion detection, DualCurtain Outdoor has been developed as a wireless outdoor motion detector that safeguards a given property’s perimeter. The device combines two curtain motion detectors trained in opposite directions. DualCurtain Outdoor has an “unprecedented detection range” of 30 metres and features patented technologies.
KeyPad Plus: Contactless system control
In order to make security system management as simple as possible, a contactless identification function has been integrated into a keypad. The new wireless KeyPad Plus supports encrypted access devices, namely Ajax Pass and its compact version designed Tag.
To change the security mode, the end user simply needs to present an access device to KeyPad Plus. These devices are equipped with an original DESFire chip. This is Best-in-Class contactless identification technology used by transport system managers in European capitals and NASA access systems.
The combination of KeyPad Plus and Ajax Pass or Tag provides end users with encrypted contactless identification and minimises false alarms that may be caused by errors when entering a passcode.
MotionCam Outdoor: Photo verification of alarms
Photo verification is becoming a ‘new normal’ in the security industry. This practical way of countering false alarms helps security companies and the police significantly reduce unnecessary attendances on site.
The new Ajax Systems wireless outdoor motion detector with a camera – designated MotionCam Outdoor – recognises a threat instantly and sends an animated series of photos in any weather, day or night.
MotionCam Outdoor takes photo verification to a “dramatic” new level. The best optics with an HDR camera and an IR backlight produces clear and sharp images. That helps monitoring station operators to respond correctly in any circumstances.
Battery life calculator
To help security professionals plan service visits to clients for years to come, a battery life calculator has been released for Ajax devices. It provides security installers with an estimate of how long the pre-installed batteries will work under specified parameters and when it’s time to replace them.
Ajax Systems also released a guide to Jeweller, the proprietary Ajax radio communication technology. The guide consists of a handbook explaining the impact of materials on the Jeweller range and a calculator for assessing its reliability.
PRO Desktop 3.0: Maintenance and monitoring
Ajax software has evolved along with the needs of the security industry. The new PRO Desktop 3.0 offers combined tools for connecting, maintaining and monitoring Ajax security systems in one PC app. Professionals will appreciate seamless connection and the remote configuration of devices, flexible role arrangements and detailed event logs for employee control, as well as built-in photo verification of alarms and support for the mobile panic button.
R&D and new markets
Ajax System has opened the US, Canadian, Australian, Latin American and South East Asian markets. With FCC and IC certificates having been received, the company’s solutions will now be present wherever the 915 MHz frequency band is used.
In addition, the Ajax Systems product line has completed trials for use in India. From now on, partners can join the distribution and integration of Ajax products into new markets.
The business has adapted the hardware, re-invented radio technologies, expanded the software’s capabilities at all levels and conducted testing. The ability to enter new markets is the end result of much work having been transacted by a team of 300 Ajax developers.
Recently, Ajax Systems opened two new R&D Centres. The company has entered 25 new markets, formed eight local offices and grown into a multinational team staffed by 1,800 employees. Very soon, Ajax Systems will also surpass the significant milestone of one million users of its solutions.
