ADT receives British Security Industry Association Founder Member Award

Members are being recognised for 25-plus years with the Association, and the Founder Member Award underlines those companies who were – and remain – the foundation blocks which have helped shape how the BSIA operates.

Mike Reddington, CEO at the BSIA, commented: “The BSIA Founder Member Award serves to recognise the hard work, dedication and active participation shown by those companies who have not only supported the Association over the years, but have also helped mould it into what it is today. In short, the recognised ‘voice of the professional security industry’.”

Reddington continued: “Each member contribution, whether large or small, has influenced the BSIA’s development. We’re thankful to be able to present ADT with an award in recognition of its contribution to the Trade Association and, indeed, the wider industry. Receiving this award should serve as a reminder of some of the BSIA initiatives ADT have been involved in over the years. The business helped to shape the National Police Chiefs Council’s policy for alarm systems in the days of ACPO. It has also been instrumental in improving industry standards, formulating training and playing a role in the development of the Electronic Call Handling Operations project to name but a few.”

In addition, Reddington stated: “The BSIA would like to thank ADT for all the work the company has done to date. We look forward to many more years of support and collaboration.”

Richard Jones, director and general manager of Johnson Controls Fire & Security (UK and Ireland) said: “ADT is absolutely delighted to receive this recognition and we look forward to many more years of active participation with the BSIA.”

The company has received a commemorative trophy to display at its head office.
