Description:

The main responsibility of the Security Systems Administrator is to support the efficient operation of the physical security systems technologies within the EMEA region led by the Security Systems Supervisor and its operation within the Security Operations Centre (SOC). These technologies include electronic access control, video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, communication systems and other physical security technologies or solutions.


Primary activities include:

  • Ensuring that routine maintenance undertaken in the EMEA region maintains the systems’ integrity and reliability of its connectivity to the SOC.
  • Reactively troubleshooting and supervising the remediation of any problems identified with any hardware or software within the EMEA security portfolio either internally and via approved contracted companies where required.
  • Responsible for auditing the documentation and administration of the system ensuring alignment of all configuration, drawings, programming to the company systems standards for the purpose of management, global/regional data compliance and audits.
  • Providing end user training to SOC operators to efficiently utilise the system to monitor the EMEA portfolio.
  • Obligation for out of hours emergency support to the SOC for system failures.


Responsibilities:

  • Projects Works
  • Ensuring that all implemented physical security systems are delivered in accordance with client specifications and standards.
  • Supporting any testing and commissioning activities completed by third party contractors.
  • Maintaining technical controls documentation to support projects.
  • Audit & Compliance
  • Ensuring minimum nuisance systems alarms, through regular tests and audits of its detection and monitoring capabilities.
  • Validates and updates were required systems’ documentation detailing changes, schematics, configuration and installed assets.
  • Ensures minimal nuisance systems alarms.
  • Liaises with respective IT partners to ensure LAN and WAN capacity for operational effectiveness and redundancy capability.
  • Service Management
  • Managing service ticket case load across EMEA monitoring KPIs, including resource scheduling, procedures and stakeholder engagement.
  • Validating ticket resolution in accordance with client standards and documentation.
  • Maintaining through corporation with approved suppliers, sufficient spares material throughout EMEA to support the business operation and minimum disruption.
  • People Management
  • Frequent liaison with suppliers, partners and stakeholders of the physical security systems.
  • Full understanding of services/resources at all sites that are users of the systems’ technologies.
  • Ability to enhance the skillsets of all users locally or remotely.
  • System Innovation
  • Responding to changes in the external environment including legislation, technology and trends.
  • Operations Management
  • Daily reporting to management all physical security systems matters ensuring compliance to professional and client standards.
  • Ensuring all staff are trained to carry out their systems duties in accordance with procedures and policies.
  • Working in partnership to raise the profile of security and fire prevention by attending meetings with service partners.
  • Investigating incidents and prepare responses in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Understanding drivers behind systems failures and to take steps to minimise losses.


Required:

  • Ability to meet all vetting requirements.
  • Background in Electronic Security Systems Management.
  • Working knowledge in providing electronic security solutions.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience of issue and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work under own initiative, making decisions to benefit company and client.
  • Experience with raising work orders.
  • Competent on Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint.
  • Experience and good working knowledge of the following:
  • Computer Networking and IT systems administration.
  • IP CCTV (Genetec).
  • Access control (Lenel, Lobby works, Galaxy).
  • Reporting software (Global Aware).
  • Mass notification systems (TRIS, ANVIL, 360, EVERBRIDGE).
  • SOC SOPs.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure.
  • Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports where necessary.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
  • Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability.
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
  • Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from the public.
  • An understanding of the principles of equality and diversity in relation to visitors’ needs.
