You will report into the Sales Director as a Business Development Manager. Your role is responsible for the acquisition of new regional customers for a fire and security integrator. Ideally we are looking for someone that can grow business nationally and who is in an easily commutable area to cover the London zone too. You will be responsible for devising your own business development strategy in line with the organisation’s growth strategy across targeted market sectors.
The purpose of the New Business Development Manager is to focus on new business hunting and new key account acquisition to accelerate the growth of our electronic security installation and service portfolio.
You will mainly focus development on key market sectors, including critical national infrastructure, utilities, distribution centres, health care, education and defence, acting as an ambassador to position the company’s reputation as a leading and respected employer.

Personality: self- driven, multi-tasking, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality, profitability and professionalism. A natural problem solver with a keen ability to prioritise and work with people to achieve excellent business outcomes.
Personal situation: ambition is key to the role. The position requires drive and focus and offers a route into higher management within the company based upon the establishment of effective and productive internal and external relationships.
Specific job skills: possess good interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication and an open and positive demeanour. Must have a good awareness of industry codes and standards and be suited to work within the guidelines and processes as set out by the company.
Computer skills: must be IT literate and confident with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Benefits: £45-50k basic, excellent commission package (OTE £80-100k), company vehicle or car allowance (£500pm), 25 days’ holiday and bank holiday, phone, laptop, remote working and other benefits.
