About the Client:
- Our client, specialists in the Fire and Security industry, are seeking a hardworking and passionate Service Engineer based around the Birmingham or Derby area to join their service team on a permanent basis.
The Role:
- The successful candidate will be in a service role with the responsibility for helping deliver and maintain life safety fire detection systems.
- The role will predominantly be based in the Birmingham, Derby areas but will require travel further South and into Cardiff to support certain projects & customer sites as required
- Carry out emergency light tests, replacements, and services as well as service and fault find on complex fully integrated fire systems with our end-customers from various domains & disciplines
- Undertaking small works and commissioning works to support the delivery of moves, changes, additions, and project works when required
- To participate in an on-call rota of 1 in 7 weeks
- To attend reactive calls and breakdowns, and perform general maintenance work
- Maintain, complete small repairs/installations to a variety of fire systems
Qualities Required:
- Full driving license required
- Experience in the delivery and servicing of larger complex fire detection systems on new/existing sites
- Gent experience preferrable but training can be provided
- Electrical qualifications are desirable
- FIA Units 1 and 5 would be desirable
- CSCS or ECS
- Minimum of four years’ UK fire and security experience
