Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer – Birmingham and The Midlands


Working for a family run business that has been around for 50+ years, who specialise in installation and maintenance of fire and security systems, an opportunity has become available for a Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer who will be based in the Midlands, ideally anywhere around 30 miles radius of Birmingham.


The company offers support and boasts a friendly working environment. Working for an NSI and FIA Gold accredited company, there will be plenty of training available,


Responsibilities


·        To complete small works, fault find and commission on numerous fire alarms and related systems to company and industry standards.

·        If you are employed to commission systems, then that will be part of your job role or the company will train you to get to the standard that is required.

·        Always alert management if you think training or new systems knowledge is required so you can complete the tasks that are required of you.

·        Liaise with clients and contract staff, ensuring practice standards and development is achieved.

·        If you think extra works or upgrades are needed when visiting site, please relay this back to your line manager.

·        Ensure works are completed to a good standard and that the client is happy with the works completed before leaving site.

·        Keep the company vehicle in good order, keep your company tools safe and relay any problems to the office.

·        Provide up to date documentation regarding clients visits and keep a record of your daily works done and hours of work (timesheet).

·        Report to clients and operational teams on works bookings, progress and completion.

·        Ensure all out of works expenses are documented and your expenses sheet is correct and submitted to your line manager every month.


Required


·        Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities and time efficiently. 

·        Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a good telephone manner.

·        Ability to manage customer relationships professionally and courteously.

·        Desire to deliver exceptional customer service.

£34,000 - £36,000 with an OTE in excess of £39,000
