Up to £37,000 Rising to £38,000 after 3 months and again to £40,000 after a further 6 months.

About the Client:
- Our client, specialists in the Fire and Security industry, are seeking a hardworking and passionate Fire & Security Tutor based around the Watford area to join their Training team on a permanent basis.
The Role:
- Teach an acclaimed Level 3 apprenticeship programme with one of the industry’s leading educators.
- An experienced Fire & Security Engineer who enjoys teaching trainees and would like to become a professional educator.
- Be part of a team of 6 instructors who are ably supported by 5 course administrators.
- Work in two large training workshops packed with the top manufacturer’s latest kit, alongside well-equipped classrooms, and office space.
- Teach classes of 8-16 apprentices, so there is plenty of opportunity to personalise instruction to the needs and learning style of each student.
- You will cover the full Level 3 spectrum: safe working; electrical and electronic principles; commercial awareness; installation, commissioning and support best practice.
- Whilst practical instruction is a big part of the job, you will also be coaching and assessing apprentices, contributing to course development, and liaising with employers.
- There will be some travel, although mostly you will be working at the training centre.
- You will be fully supported, including with your studies for teaching qualifications if you’ve yet to gain these.
- Developing new content and techniques to help students achieve their best.
Qualities Required:
- Strong Fire & Security installation and commissioning experience including fire, CCTV, access control and intruder detection systems.
- Practical tool skills and the ability to demonstrate / teach them to the next generation of engineers.
- An academic interest in the field and experience of supervising/teaching apprentices, as a trainer or as part of your engineering role.
- Great presenter and communicator, who can relate to and coach different personalities with different learning styles.
- An appetite for self-development, with a sound portfolio of professional accreditations and certifications (electrical or electronic qualifications would be preferred)
