Arevika Stepanian appointed non-executive director at Skills for Security

SKILLS FOR Security, the UK’s largest fire and security apprenticeship provider, has announced the appointment of Arevika Stepanian to the Board as non-executive director of corporate relations with immediate effect.

In the role, Stepanian – director of customer experience for the STM Group (UK) – will be working with channel partners and media affiliates alike to increase the support of – and sponsorship for – a robust skills pipeline for the UK’s electrotechnical sector with a particular focus on fire and security.

It’s vital that all companies are encouraged to support the goal of Skills for Security to provide a sustainable supply of skilled engineers across the sectors such that businesses can prosper and compete, not only here in the UK market, while also striving for world-class competency and quality.

Commenting on the appointment, Simon Banks (chair of Skills for Security) explained: “We are very pleased to be welcoming Arevika to the Skills for Security Board. Arevika’s appointment will provide us with a brand new skill set and create opportunities for stakeholder participation with both media partners and corporate sponsorship alike.”

Stepanian is currently a Board director for equality, diversity and inclusion on behalf of ASIS International’s UK Chapter. The cohort here encompasses a global network of 34,000 active members.
